Lessons Worth Re-Learning

This is my journey that the LORD Jesus Christ has taken me on in my life. So don't be surprised, this is a Christian site written by a Christian. Most of us have lived our Christian lives such that if we bloomed where we were planted, we'd be mushrooms in a cave! If you would like to subscribe to this blog, please send me an e-mail.

I am just like everyone else: I make it one day at a time with a little bit of humor. The Word of God is a fire in my heart that burns all the way down to my bones and I cannot hold it back. Jeremiah 20:9

Notes on satan Part 2

3-20-2006 Part 2

satan doesn't want you to know this: Jesus created you and declared it good. He said greater works than His will you do. He said He would send the Comforter, the Holy Spirit of God Himself to come and live in your heart. He called you and said He would keep you. Jesus said in Luke 4:18-19 (KJV) "The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me because He (God) has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He hath send Me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised."

Isaiah 61:1-3 (NKJV) "The Spirit of the LORD GOD is upon Me, because the LORD has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn, to console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified."

Jesus asks, "Who do you say that I AM?"

I AM Healer to those who are sick.
I AM Redeemer to those who are imprisoned.
I AM Savior to those who are lost.
I AM the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

Jesus called you to take up His work on this earth. Mark 16:15-20 (paraphrased): Go into all the world, preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues and languages; they will have dominion over serpents and not be harmed by them; and if they eat or drink any deadly thing, it will not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick and pray, and they will recover.

satan doesn't want you to know this: Because all the Godhead now dwells in you by faith. Once you realize this, he is powerless!!

Mark 9:23 (NKJV) "Jesus said to him, 'If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.' "

Isaiah 10:27 (NKJV) "It shall come to pass in that day that his (satan's) burden will be taken away from your shoulder, and his yoke from your neck, and the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil."

Colossians 2:13-15 (NKJV) "And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross, having disarmed principalities and power, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it."

1 Corinthians 2:6-8 (NKJV) " . . . we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the LORD of Glory."

I thank my God through Jesus Christ that He loves me!

Ezekiel 28:12b-19 (NKJV) (Although this is entitled a lamentation for the king of Tyre, the references contained in it definitely identify it as a description of satan. Jesus referred to some of these references in describing satan.) "You were the seal of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. You were in Eden, the garden of God, every precious stone was your covering; the sardius, topaz, and diamond, beryl, onyx, and jasper, sapphire, turquoise, and emerald with gold. The workmanship of your timbrels and pipes was prepared for you on the day you were created. You were the anointed cherub who covers, I established you. You were on the holy mountain of God, you walked back and forth in the midst of fiery stones. You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created. Till iniquity was found in you. By the abundance of your trading you became filled with violence within, and you sinned. Therefore I cast you as a profane thing out of the mountain of God, and I destroyed you. O covering cherub, from the midst of the fiery stones. Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty, you corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor. I cast you to the ground. I laid you before kings, that they might gaze at you. You defiled your sanctuaries by the multitude of your iniquities. By the iniquity of your trading, therefore I brought fire from your midst, it devoured you, and I turned you to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all who saw you. All who knew you among the peoples are astonished at you, you have become a horror, and shall be no more forever."

Luke 10:18 (NKJV) "And He said to them, 'I saw satan fall like lightning from heaven.' "

Romans 14:11 (NKJV) "For it is written: 'As I live, says the LORD, every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall confess to God.' "

John 14:6 (NKJV) "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.' "

Colossians 1:19-23 (NKJV) "For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross. And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, above reproach in His sight--if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven, ..."

1 Corinthians 1:17 (TLB) "For Christ didn't send me to baptize, but to preach the Gospel; and even my preaching sounds illogical, for I do not fill my sermons with profound words and high sounding ideas, for fear of diluting the mighty power there is in the simple message of the cross of Christ."

Philippians 2:5-16a (KJV) "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus; who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: but made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men; and being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also has highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name; that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven and things in earth, and things under the earth. And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is LORD, to the glory of God the Father. Wherefore, my beloved, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which works in you both to will and to do His good pleasure. Do all things without complaining, that you may be blameless and harmless, the children of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom you shine as lights in the world; holding forth the Word of Life."

1 Thessalonians 5:15-23 (KJV) "See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among your selves, and to all men. Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. quench not the Spirit. Despise not prophesyings. Prove all things; hold fast to that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil. And the very God of Peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and should and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our LORD Jesus Christ."

Psalm 138:7-8 (NKJV) "Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me. You will stretch out Your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and Your right hand will save me. The LORD will perfect (fulfill) that which concerns me. Your mercy, O LORD, endures forever."

Isaiah 53:1-12 (NKJV) "Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed? For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, and as a root out of dry ground. He has no form or comeliness; and when we see Him, there is no beauty that we should desire Him. He is despised and rejected by men, a Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. Surely He has borne our griefs (sicknesses) and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned, every one, to his own way; and the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent. So He opened not His mouth. He was taken from prison and from judgment, and who will declare His generation? For He was cut off from the land of the living; for the transgression of My people He was stricken. And they made His grave with the wicked--but with the rich at His death. Because He had done no violence, nor was any deceit in His mouth. Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise Him; He has put Him to grief. When You make His soul and offering for sin, He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in His hand. He shall see the labor of His soul, and be satisfied. By His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify many, for He shall bear their iniquities. Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great, and He shall divide the spoil with the strong, because He poured out His soul unto death, and He was numbered with the transgressors, and He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors."

Isaiah 45:22-24 (NKJV) "Look to Me, and be saved, all you ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other. I have sworn by Myself; the word has gone out of My mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, that to Me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall take an oath. He shall say, 'Surely in the LORD I have righteousness and strength. To Him men shall come, and all shall be ashamed who are incensed against Him.' "
